ThyssenKrupp To Hold Jobs Fair in Wilcox County

CALVERT, ALABAMA [November 6, 2009] ThyssenKrupp Steel USA and ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA announced today that they will be holding a jobs fair on November 11, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wilcox Central High School in Camden, Alabama. Applicants interested in salaried employment are encouraged to bring their resumes, while applicants interested in hourly employment should bring their completed applications that can be downloaded online at www.aidt.edu/apply.com.

““Just last month, the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations announced that Wilcox County had the highest unemployment rate in our state and we are currently filling hundreds of positions,” said Scott Posey, Director of Communications for ThyssenKrupp Steel USA. “We’re sure there are people in Wilcox County who have the skills and drive to be a part of our team, and we want to find them.”

ThyssenKrupp is investing $4.65 billion in constructing two state-of-the-art carbon steel and stainless steel processing facilities in Calvert, Alabama. Both facilities are scheduled to begin operations in 2010. When fully operational, they will provide the NAFTA market with 5.1 million metric tons of high quality value-added products for customers in the automotive, construction, pipe and tube, service center, and appliance industries.
