Q: What kind of neighbor will you be?
A: We are committed to being an important part of the community and a good neighbor. This commitment is rooted in the principles of sustainable development. For ThyssenKrupp Steel, sustainability means creating and maintaining an optimal and durable balance between economy, ecology and social responsibility. We intend to promote and support education, economic development, environmental awareness and social projects. We will also take care to save energy, conserve resources and maximize recycling.

While our roots in Alabama are relatively new and shallow, they are growing deeper every day. We have begun building partnerships with local non-profits, schools and universities and are already supporting charitable and economic development efforts. Our company and its team members intend to be an involved and integral part of Alabama and the Mobile area community for many generations to come.
Q: Did ThyssenKrupp Steel USA exist before this project?
A: No. ThyssenKrupp Steel has been producing and processing high-quality steel in Europe for nearly two hundred years. We are in in the process of not only building our facility, but our Team, internal processes and culture as well.
