A: Yes. ThyssenKrupp Steel USA has an aggressive hiring schedule designed to fill nearly 2,000 positions between now until now full operations.
Q. Do I need previous steel experience for work for ThyssenKrupp Steel USA?
A: There are many opportunities with ThyssenKrupp Steel USA that do not require specific steel experience. We have a comprehensive training program in cooperation with AIDT that trains Team Members in areas ranging from operations to our culture of quality.
Q. What is the facility like to work in?
A: ThyssenKrupp Steel is using the newest technology in designing and operating our new facility. Our state-of-the-art facility will use advanced systems and engineering to create a safe, clean and comfortable working environment. Both the exteriors and interiors of our facilities are designed with a color system unique to ThyssenKrupp, designed to provide a more visibily pleasing facility to our local community and more pleasant work environment for our Team. Q. How many Team Members will you have when operational?
A: We expect to employe nearly approximately 1,800 Team Members during the operational phase of our facility.

A: Whenever possible, we recruit and hire locally. We are ensuring that our workforce will be diverse and represent all of the members of our local and regional community.
Q: Will you be providing training for production Team Members?
A: Absolutely. Training and education are fundamental to ThyssenKrupp’s values and commitment to remaining competitive and innovative.
Q: Will your wage scales be on par with other similar industries in the region? Or do you plan to set a higher wage scale in hopes of luring the best workers?
A: Our wage and salary ranges are competitive within the industry, the state and region.

Q: What kinds of jobs will be available?
A: A facility of this size will require several types of jobs including opportunities in plant operations and management, maintenance, engineering, administration, equipment operations, logistics and production functions.
Q: Can you give us a sense of the level of qualification you expect from your new Team Members?
A: We will need Team Members with varying levels of qualification depending on the position and responsibility. We will work through AIDT to train prospective Team Members for many of our positions. All Team Members can expect to feel challenged, be enpowered, and work within a Team oriented environment.
